Chords of Love Incorporated
Chords of Love Society Inc. was founded this year by 6 Filipino couples from North Shore Philippines
According to a study conducted by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), there are about 12.8 million children under the age of 15 are living in poverty, with an increase of one million over a three-year period.
Having a burning desire to make a difference in poor Filipino children, the Society will organise a series of fund-raising activities for these poor kids.
The Society is organising a charity event this year, entitled “Retro Manila Concert Party”. The event is open to everyone who would like to join the North Shore Filipino community in this fund-raising event with live band, great food, and nightlong dancing. It will be held on 3 December 2011, Saturday, at the function room of the AMI Netball Centre Northcote. Hours are 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Admission is $10 per person. Food and beverage are available for purchase.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Oasis orphanage and ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor) in the Philippines
The goals of this charity event are to help Oasis orphanage build more houses for to accommodate more orphans and to send street children to school through ANCOP’s Child Sponsorship Programme.
